Default 05 GT Won't Start (Electrical Issue)

Last year alternator went bad and I finally got around to replacing it last month. Car ran fine, no issues whatsoever. However, now the car won't start. I parked it, noticed I should pull up a foot, got back in, and it wouldn't start. No cranking noise or power to anything other than very faint airbag light blinking.

Took the battery to O'Reilly, they said it was fine and fully charged it. Put it back in and no change. I'm going to take the alternator there this week to have them test that. Other than them testing the alternator, any ideas? Anything else I can test to get a feel for what's wrong?

If the battery tested good, then there's some other issue than the battery and alternator. The engine should crank with a good battery, even if the alternator was toast. Check the wiring with the help of this: http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=1

Definitely sounds like a loose wire to starter or a loose connection somewhere. Agree with other post. Battery starts car then runs off alternator.

Did you try the old tap the starter with a hammer? Is it a manual, park on a hill till you find it. There's always Car Talk Radio on NPR.

Thanks for the info guys, sometime this week I'm going to try to check all the connections I can find and check fuses.

Tested fuses. checked all grounds. Checked every connection I could find. Printed out the wiring diagrams and was looking at those. My Dad walks up, I tell him what's going on, he picks up the MM and the battery reads 2 volts. Got batter replaced under warranty and the car runs fine now.

If it's a manual, the switch on the clutch pedal might have gone bad. There is a way to bypass it but I'd have to search for it, which you can do yourself. Good luck with it.
