Default Convertible questions...

I have two, if you would...

1. What is the best way to clean the top and to keep it black? After 7 years, it's starting to look a little faded

2. How old should the car be before I start expecting the body to sag? My doors are a little difficult to close and I'm wondering if the doors need realigned or if it's something worse.

Any advice would be helpful...

I can't speak for the sag, but I clean mine with Murphy's Oil Soap using a soft brush and use 303 Protectant to make it shiny.

My 2006 convertible had 203,000 miles on it when I sold it, and the new owner said it has 211,000 on it now. No sagging of the frame, doors still fit perfectly. The S197 is pretty stiff and I haven't heard of anyone suffering with a sagging car - not at all like my 1965 was, that sagged in the middle!
