Default Custom Stripes: Best Idea Ever ?

I was reading online about applying custom stripes to my mustang, and fell on that article:

http://www.exoticvehiclewraps.com/vi...nifeless-tape/

this looks like the easiest way ever to apply & create your own custom decals.

the guiding tape is cutting the vinyl to the shape you desire, removing 2 big inconveniences of vinyl:
- alignement issues
- uneven surfaces deforming the vinyl shape

what do you guys think ?!

I work for a Graphics place and that is exactly how we do stripes. It is great for alignment and you can use good, 3M material for the stripes.

It can't be that easy. I can't see how it can make a perfect cut in vinyl. The stuff likes to stretch when you pull on it.

Interesting. I bet it's not as easy for us amateurs as the pictures make it look, but if it's cheap it could be fun to play with anyway.

That stuff looks pretty sweet. Kind of like the little tab that you pull on a bubble gum wrapper.

It also keeps plaque and tartar build up on your stripes to a minimum between Stripe hygienist visits.

Cool stuff! I watched some demonstration videos on Youtube. This might get me to finally stripe my cowl hood since no one makes precut stripes for it.
