Hello, since the day I bought this car something in the steering column groans and whines whenever I turn it a decent bit, especially when the car is going very slow and under 10 mph. It's been getting progressively louder and am going to take it in soon. I checked the fluid and it is directly between minimum and maximum so there is enough in there. I was wondering if anybody has had this issue before and if so what was the problem? If I recall I remember seeing a similar post to this but can't seem to find it again.

Sounds like the power steering pump... Mine has done it for years.

 

Is it normal then or did yours need replacing?
