Default Possible AC issue

I tried turning my AC to feet mode, and it doesnt seem to blow out air near the feet.. When its on feet mode it actually sounds kind of clogged and blows air up the windshield. It is supposed to blow air by the feet right?

I may have felt a very small amount of cool air coming out near feet when it was on full blast... much more was coming up near the windshield defrost area

most likely your blend door actuator is going out or your blend door is hanging on something.

I agree with Derf00. It's the actuator door.

Yep, sounds like a blend door issue.

SO you have 3 opinions now.

Does your car have duel temp control? turn your car on and turn the blower on play with the temperature **** if it has duel temp control move the driver temp know from cold to hot and see if you hear the noise if your driver side blend door actuator is bad, if you dont hear noise try moving the passenger temp control and see if there is any noise if so your passenger blend door actuator is bad you may have to change the temp a couple times to get the noise to duplicate the gears inside the
actuator strip it is a common problem

Probably the blend door actuator. If sounds like there is popping when you first turn on the A/C, then it is definitely the blend door actuator. Happened to my 2010 About 2 months ago.

I'm having a similar problem where the air will blow out of windshield when feet are selected (still blows fine but it blow as if feet/windshield was selected) and it blows hot air on my feet when it's off. Solutions?

Hi Andy13186,

I recommend you bring your vehicle in to your dealer to have it checked out and speaking to your Service Manager about this. He/She is in the best position to look into this for you. He/she can check into any warranty, assistance, recalls, or Customer Satisfaction Programs that may apply to your vehicle. Let me know the outcome.
