Default Winter Storage

I'll probably shell out the extra bucks and buy the ford issued weathershield cover; as per consensus of these boards. My next question is what should I do with the oil? The car has 400+ miles on it, and will probably have around 750 before I put it into "storage". The problem is, as part of my job; I'll be needing the space in the garage so I plan on backing it out into the driveway and reapplying the car cover while it's out there (no more then a few hours) maybe 2-3 times per week. Should I leave the car run for half an hour when I do? The car will also be off of insurance as part of the 6 monthes on/6 monthes off policy. So I won't be driving it outside of the neighborhood. Getting back to the oil, I plan on paying the difference to have syn put in at my dealership, but should I have the replace it before winter or after all things considered?

Thanks in advance! [sm=americanasmiley.gif]

Lake County is 40 minutes from here; you know what kind've winters our region has. The last thing I want to expose a new car to is road salt, and bad conditions.
