Default How do I get this F#$&!^% thing off?!?!?!?

OK gang... I'm going to search... but at the moment, lemme post this here on the off chance there's anyone around that can post up.

Replacing RF Hub Assembly. Old assembly comes off easy enough... with the EXCEPTION of THIS INNER RACE:

Anyone have any insights? There's really nothing to grab... and only the smallest lip you can put anything up against to prise it off.

Tried heating as much as I dared (can't get the damn ABS sensor out unless I'm prepared to destroy THAT)... currently it's soaking again with some penetrant.

Anyone have the "Magic Words" to get it off?

you can either cut a notch in it with a cutoff wheel then use a chisel to split it. or warm it up with a torch and use a little chisel or sometimes cans even just pull it off with channel locks after its hot. Want it dull red.

GOT it. Used an angle grinder to cut a couple of notches in it (as indicated by the arrows) and was able to pop it off easy as pie with the wheel puller.

Remember to use a new spindle nut and torque it to the HUB specifications....that preload is required!!

Oh absolutely. It's kinda nice that AutoZONE has the free loaner tool program as I "borrowed" the torque wrench required.

It's really the only time I've ever needed a torque wrench of such magnitude!

Just out of curiosity, what did the hub require? Just did the wheel bearing hub on a 99 Chrysler, replaced it with the TIMKEN part, and it called for 180ft lbs (insert smiley with eyes popping out here).
