Default 2 Mustangs? Does it make sense?

Hey Guys,

I'm in the market for a daily driver and started looking at some mid level SUV's etc.
I have a budget around ~26k. After not finding any SUV's i really liked i started looking at sedans, and soon after ended up looking for mustangs.

There are a few '13's out there i could afford and have no issue with using one as a daily driver. The only issue i'm having is that i won't sell my 07 GT (ever) which is my weekend fun car (only has 16000miles on the odo).

It would be less of an issue if the '07 was already what i had always hoped she would be (700hp track car). But for now it seems silly to have a daily driver '13 that'll probably just as quick as my '07. (Also, i'm afraid i'll start neglecting my 07 build and start bolting on the '13)

I'm not sure if anyone will get the situation, nor am i sure if i'm trying to talk myself into getting the '13 or out of it. So hoping not to get flamed but would like some feedback...

What is/was the purpose of buying the Daily Driver?

Just getting to work and back, beyond that, running erands (no kids). The roads here aren't perfect, there are a few dirtroads, thats why i was considering a suv in the first place. However it's nothing a sedan/coupe couldn't handle, or maybe thats just me trying to convince myself again.

We do get some floods here every once in a while. This happens a certain time every year. The roads would be submerged atleast 1-2 inches of water. You can drive through it but occasionally it gets worse than the 1-2 inches. This doesn't happen often though

I get it Mellow. My Mustang sits in the garage and I have a Tahoe for a daily driver. My missus wants a Mustang and after seeing a white 15' convertible I think we may end up with two Mustangs. Hers will be her daily driver.

But I get what you're saying about possibly kicking your old love to the curb in favor of the new one. I'm surprised you couldn't didn't find a daily sedan you like. You must have some pretty high standards. I'd take an Edge in an instant, or one of those cool little Mazdas.
