Please assist- Grinding/hissing noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd

Check the fluid level in the trans. You may also want to swap the fluid for GM Syncromesh.

Well I'm following your advice. I ordered some Redline MTL, its at the shop and will be replaced tomorrow. Hopefully resolving this issue.

however I also have an MGW shifter on the way too, that should definitely fix the issue unless its inside the transmission itself.

Anyone else with this issue? I keep having obscure issues with this car its frustrating but I decided not to trade it in after all, can't do that.
