Default How much for GT500 front bumper conversion?

So I have a 2007GT, and I'm looking to do the GT500 front end conversion (minus the hood)

my max budget is $1400. Is this possible? Wasn't there a guy around here who could get the whole kit (minus hood) for $1,100?

Assuming I could get the neccesary parts for 1,100 and paint for 300, I could do the install myself and stay within my budget.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

current look:

Yikes, there's a lot more you could do with that budget (if it's even enough) than a partial Gt500 conversion. Just my $0.02.

Search Craigslist and eBay for the parts. You might be able to get some of the smaller parts needed for a lot cheaper as well as the larger ones.

Yeah it is a bit steep, but you just CANNOT beat this look:

I've looked through a lot of body mods, and nothing quite compares to this front bumper. Really fills the car out.

Thanks for the tip. So you're saying if I buy the parts individually I might be able to get them cheaper than finding someone who sells the total package?

I'll Check Ebay and CL. Any other outlets you would look at?

Also does anyone have the parts list?

Thanks a lot.

There is a complete parts list on here somewhere, but mainly it's

Front cover
Headlights
Upper grill
Lower grill
Fog lamps w/housings
Splitter

You should be able to reuse the mounting hardware and signal markers from the stock cover

You can see what's included in the conversion kit on Americanmuscle's website. Look at the right side of the page and you'll see "What's in the box".

$1400 won't even buy you the parts needed anymore.
When I did my conversion (08 I think), parts retailed at $1200 if I remember well and it didn't include the hood of course.
Here, go through that thread:

It has all the infos needed...
