Default 2005 4.0 mustang

just bought a 05 mustang 4.0, the temp and fuel gauge do not work, so i was hoping its a easy fix, ive read things about it possibly being a sender, but i dont think that would make the temp fail to

hoping this is a easy fix cause i dont wanna pay $350 for a new cluster

stepper motors that control the needles probably went bad. search "stepper motor" and youll see what I mean. not that hard to fix if you can solder. good luck

There is a fuse in the black box on the passenger's side that does control those gauges. Did you check the fuse first?
