Default Considering Purchasing an 05 GT

Alright so I have found a local guy who is selling an 05 gt for 8000. But the drivers seat motor needs replacing, the gauge cluster needs new servos and the right rear shock needs replacing. Obviously it is just an estimate but does anybody have an idea how much a shop or dealership would charge for all of this? Is 8000 still a fair price or should I shoot for lower and if the motor and tranny are sound is this car worth it? Thanks in advance guys hoping for some quick answers on this one.

That's a fair price if the engine/tranny are sound, the car's generally in good condition, and there's no more than ~120k miles on the odometer. On a 10-year-old car you expect to have to replace certain items so you can use the cost of those items to lower the purchase price.
It would be a good opportunity to upgrade the rear shocks since one of them needs replacing anyway. The gauge cluster is easy and inexpensive to fix with new stepper motors but the driver's seat motor will be more expensive though.

Ok yea it seems like a pretty fair price but I'm going to see if I can get him to 7500 because the drivers motor from what I'm reading can't really be done yourself since the parts arent readily available so the dealership would probably have to do it which costs close to 700 dollars. Other then that the car is sound it only has 105k miles and the paint is good with just slight sundamage on the front bumper which unfortunately is very common in the sunshine state...

use the broken items as a bargaining chip
offer him less
maybe get a quote from the dealership, since they may give you a high quote, and use that as a discount from the 8k

Not a bad price really. New gauge cluster is north of 800 bucks installed, the shocks get replaced in pairs so that'll probably be ~300 bucks. I don't know about the driver seat motor. Tell him 7k!

Rear shocks are much cheaper than that and DIY installation takes only 30 minutes. There's no need to fork out $800+ for a new gauge cluster either. You can have the stepper motors replaced on the existing cluster for ~$100 (less if you buy the stepper motors from ebay and solder them in yourself).
