Default Cd changer is killing my battery!

So my 07 gt has developed this issue where even when the car is off the cd changer (empty or with cds) constantly changes between positions, killing the battery even when the car is off and door open. The battery is a brand new red top and is most likely not the issue. I've tried disconnecting over night, grounding out both connectors to get rid of any static charge, and manually turning off the radio but nothing seems to work. Anyone else have this issue and any fixes?

Same thing was happening to my 2005. There has been a LOT of issues with the 6-disc CD changer. I ended up putting an aftermarket one in because I wasn't going to buy another one and then have that one break as well. I've heard of people going through 3 different sets and all of them crap out.

Ask a mod to move this to the proper section. This is for problems with the forum site, not problems or questions about your individual car.

Its a known problem. Swap in an aftermarket head unit.

Curious, what aftermarket head unit would you say is the most popular? I know Cruchfield can inform us of the compatibility between head units.

First..MAKE SURE THE UNIT IT TURNED OFF BEFORE TURNING OFF THE IGNITION. That solves a lot of these problems. if it persists, it's a bad head unit.
