2007 mustang gt vs 2012 mustang v6 who wins???

If both cars are manual, then you both have 3.31 axle gears. Both cars have similar HP, the '07 GT has more TQ, but the '12 V6 can wind to higher rpm so it'll be a driver's race.
I suggest you both race first in your own cars and then swap cars for the next race. Do a 30-70mph rolling pull.

His top speed in 1st gear is 47 mph, a rolling start at 30 would put him right in his power band at 4,300 RPM. You'd do better to start at 10 or 15 mph or a dead stop. I love the 3.7 but they have no power under 4,000 RPM. Once they hit 4,000 RPM they pull like a lot of V8s. BTW, he can run up to 79 MPH in second, which means he only has to make the 1-2 shift for most street contests. You'll need to make a clean 2nd to 3d shift to hit that speed.
If you let him get in front of you-you may not be able to catch up.

So assuming I get my shift right I should take him?
The 3.7 redlines at 6,800, and pulls hard right to the limit.
I'd start at a dead stop, use your 4.10s. Your 0-20 mph start is where you will have the best, maybe only advantage.

What do you consider a good 2-3rd shift? You'll have one extra shift-and a tough one, so how ever fast you shift is that much slower than the 3.7 that doesn't need to shift. BTW, missing 2-3rd will not only lose the contest but may also lose your transmission.

You have more torque, less hp. (300hp gt 305hp 3.7) . He has a much higher redline, less shifting. Doubt either of you will excede 113 mph, which is the 3.7 redline. Your race from a dead stop, drivers race from 30 mph IMHO. I'd like to see the 3.7 win, let use know what happens.
