2009 brake light issues
Hey gang, just bought my son a 2009 Mustang for his first car. Scored huge World's Greatest Dad points with that move. Now the headaches of buying a used car begin.
For some reason the inner most brake lights do not work. So far I've tested all the bulbs. The bulbs in question will not light with either the brake pedal, the hazard lights, or the blinkers. I'm not totally sure that all three are supposed to illuminate but looking at the wiring connections inside the socket it appears that they should all be working.
Now I lean on my new friends here at mustangforums.com to help me out. Any suggestions?

On the 2009, only the outer 2 light up with the brake/hazard/blinkers. The other light only with the headlights or parking lights.
Only way you get all 3 lit is to go with the sequential flasher wiring.

Jim, was that for the 2009 only? I've seen a lot of 2005-2009 Mustangs with the inner brake lights out. I'm beginning to suspect it was a manufacturing flaw because I have seen some that one side was all lite up but the one on the other side, inner one was out. Mine were working then it went out so I ordered the sequentials.
