Default Drag Race

Going to the 1/4 mile track Sat., first time racing the Stang. I know to remove the spare and jack also pump up the front tires. My question is should I let air out of the rear tires , if so how much, and should I heat the tires up doing some burn outs. Some people have said not to reduce pressure in the rear tires. Also some have said not to heat the tires up, if there street tires. I'm confused. The temp. Sat. is suppose to be about 63 deg. When I floor it on the street the tires spin quite a bit, I have BF Goodwich t/a kdws 255/50's. Auto trans. stock gear.

Default RE: Drag Race

Last weekend my car just roasted em in first and second. No traction with or without the TC on. Let us know if find a way. Traditionally, you should not let air out of street radials and you should not heat them up. Letting air out actually lessens your contact area and they are designed to be best at normal temps.
