Transporting country
Anyone have any experience with transporting your Mustang cross-country? I'm moving and my company is shipping my car, but not sure if it'll work with a standard vehicle transporter. My car is a 2012 V6 with performance package - they're concerned that it might sit too low.

I've used it once to get my 1993 Tbird and it was a PITA, but the weather was mostly the delay.
Tried it on my Mustang but nobody would pick up the job, so it just sat. I finally drove to Chicago and got it myself.
In my experience you put out a request, you get bids then you wait.... for a driver to take that job.
My Tbird arrived FILTHY as road salt and snow were all over it...
It's more a waiting game IMHO....but if it's too far it may be worth it.. .But I'd talk to whomever you choose in person and get a firm date of pickup.

I had my '05 GT hauled from CA to NC in '07. Not totally pleased, nothing was totally wrong. However the underside of the spoiler in the front was abraded. There was damage, barely visible on the add-on panel on the passenger side under the door. Lastly the driver used it for his personal use to some extent. There was ash blown into the back seat, there was extra mileage on the car. Sadly my mother-in-law was not around when the car was picked up, and we were already on the way to NC via aircraft. I'd say check on the service, check your odometer, take pictures that can be confirmed as "before." I told them about my issues, took pictures, but they said could have been done before they picked it up. FWIW. The moving company of my house recommended the vehicle hauler, as ACES.
