You can buy a "T" fitting that goes in the upper rad hose, so you can flush
it with a hose, IF you want to flush it. Else, drain the coolant through the
rad pepcock, and refill with the same stuff. If you flush it, you can
use almost any coolant that's compatible.

If there is no rad pepcock, then remove the lower rad hose... Hmm, come to
think of it, would be much faster...

Personally, I have never, EVER flushed my coolant systems, and with that never EVER had
a problem.

However, when you refill the system, you use distilled water and concentrated coolant.

Any time I have had to replace a radiator, I used vacuum to put -35hg into the rad at the fill
neck, then release the coolant, and it will fill every single nook and cranny in the coolant
system. Very neat, I might add... Even without this, I have never had to bleed a system,
guess I am just lucky. I just squeeze and release the lower and upper hoses when filling up,
and keep at it till I get no more air bubbles from the system. Then I run the engine hot, then
repeat and add coolant when needed, keeping an eye on the temp gauge. SO far, I have
never had a issue... Though, there are bleeding steps, just never had to do it.
