2005-2009 Cracked dash solution
Many of us have our windows tinted. I'm in NC and have had to have mine re-tinted a couple of times.
NC does not like your windows too deeply tinted in the first place, and in the second place the yearly "Safety Check" includes a check on the tint. They say the "tint" gets darker as it gets older.
So, a year of so ago I had my windows tinted again. Fellow told me clear to dark tints, they cut down the harmful rays that harm your interior.
My windshield is "tinted" it does feel "cooler" in the dash area. and my dash looks like brand new.
However, truth be told, my car is a garaged car, damned close to 90k miles and is in pristine, like new condition.
Regarding the sun shades inside while parked. My little brother is a car wiz. Since he has a tendency to have more than one car, several live outside 24/7. Last time I saw him in upper NC I helped him repair headliner adhesion on two of his cars. He says the "shades" will heat up the headliner and it gets loose, and falls. FYI Needs to be redone.
As it happens, one of those two cars is an '04 Mach One. Beautiful car. He ran across it in Florida a year ago with less than 12,000 miles on the clock.

Hi,
This looks great. I bought my mustang a month ago. It’s a 2007 coupe and the cracked dashboard and rattling from the vent is killing me. I would love to buy this from you if possible. Please drop me a message if this is possibles gbryden@gmail.com
huge thanks either way
Gary

A CNC machine is a computer controlled router that can cut shapes out of various materials, based on a design created on computer software.
My original pic is my original dash that cracked at both end and all the vent fins broke loose as well. The only thing holding it in was a screw in the center that looked like it could only be accessed by removing the windshield. I just gave it a twist and removed the whole piece. It's shown in the first pic.
The second pic is a one of my prototypes That would replace the broken piece and cover over the broken edges.

Since my last post, I went through several design adjustments. Even after it fit very nicely, I wanted it to go through a Mississippi summer before I attempted to sell it. The current version is made from ABS. It’s affordable, cuts easily, is common in vehicles, and the texture somewhat matches
Unfortunately, the part has warped a bit after about 60 straight days of 90+ degrees. It’s back to the drawing board now to try to find a better, more stable material to use.

No apology needed mate. Thanks for the update. I m definitely interested but the part being solid in high temperatures is a must for me. I’m based in Abu Dhabi. If you have any luck with other prototypes please let me know.
