Default Tune after modding

Hi I just had some questions I'd like to ask. So I just bought a 2009 mustang GT (4.6L V8) and it has some stuff done to it. Long tube headers, 62mm twin throttle body, k&n cold air intake, superchips equipped (not sure what that is). The problem I am having is it is running lean (keeps throwing the check engine light) so I assume the previous owner didn't get it tuned. So I would just like to know how much does it usually cost to get it tuned also is that anything I can do by myself or do I need to take it in... I'm new to mustangs so just be gracious with me

Your mods are pretty mild so you should be able to get an email tune from Brenspeed, Lito, Lund, or VMP to name but four. Just avoid BAMA.
If you have the SCT handheld tuner, you can upload the email tune into your ECU by yourself.

It shouldn't be throwing a code if the car came with those mods unless either:
The tune was never done correctly or
whatever tune was on the car was removed when the car was sold. - The reason is either the seller could have wanted to keep the tuner for another vehicle or sell it separately for more $. A tuning device is married to whatever car the tune is uploaded to. The only way to Unmarry a tuner is to either reinstall the stock tune to a car or to send the device to the mfg to unlock it (for a $150-200 fee)

Superchips? I hope it's not a stupid resistor thrown online with the MAF sensor. They are garbage and can damage your engine. They usually make the car run rich though so IDK.
