Default 2008 GT Door Alignment

So, I have read the service manual on how to adjust the door alignment and I am not sure I am looking at the right thing, or I don't understand what to do.

The problem - the door has moved "out" from the body near the front quarter panel enough to where if the door is opened, it will crush the quarter panel. I don't have picks at the time, but basically if you are looking down the right side of the car from the drivers side headlight, when you get to the door, it juts out to the right at...maybe 1/8th of an inch up to 1/4 of an inch. This appears to be a slow progression, but only became a huge issue overnight. First I noticed wind noise. Then I noticed the door started hitting the quarter panel bracket up near the door, then overnight, you can't open the door without it hitting the front quarter panel. Already messed it up pretty good, but am having to "Dukes of Hazard" it for the time being.

The service manual says to loosen the 4 bolts on the door side hinge to adjust the door. I did that, and couldn't move the door "in". The picture in the service manual isn't clear on what that actually adjusts, and I can't find anything on the web that gives direction. Anyone have any advice they can offer?

Thanks.
