you simply are outrunning your gears because you have the rear end set up with 4.56 gears. So the top end your car has no more to give.
This. Ideally you'd want to be hitting the 1/4 mile trap near the top of 4th gear of your 5-speed automatic. Your wheels spin at 737 revs per mile so with 4.56 axle gears, your 113mph trap would be at 6300rpm (assuming torque converter is 100% locked up) if you were in 4th. It sounds to me that your gearing is actually right on, and all you need to do is a simple driver mod, which is to hit the overdrive off button before you launch!

Ok I assume u are running skinnies up front as well. I do see plenty of people running stock rims up front with slicks. Stock or aftermarket rims are heavy.
Are turning off OD (over drive)?
Are u turning off traction control?
Are you doing a good job cleaning tires off and getting them hot in the box?
Looks like a poster is on board with not swapping gears to 355 in the 1/4. Always remember that forums are a great place to get opinions and advice but you need to speak with guys that race. A performance shop thats reputable is always good reference point. One thats reputable and races is even better. My shop who races always uses 410s.
