I need to replace my caliper and can't find the torque spec of the brake line to caliper bolt. I found that the slide bolts are 25lbs and the Bracket bolts are 85.Can someone tell me what the torque spec is?
Once again, how do you properly torque it? The more levers, extensions you had to a torque wrench the more inaccurate it becomes for a lousy 30ft/lbs.
It's a standard banjo bolt. Not a nut so it's just like any other bolt. Put a socket on a torque wrench with the right setting and just 'click' it. Done.
Extensions don't really affect torque unless they are the universal joint types or you use one that is meant to be used as a torque stick. Also, if you use crows feet which offset your fulcrum. Once you start offsetting your fulcrum (crows feet), or your torque wench is not perpendicular to your but/bolt (universal joint) yes, you affect torque.
