Hello, first post here so bear with me.

I’m currently installing new aftermarket headlights in my ‘05 GT, specifically these (sorry if the images are big, I’m on mobile):



So far the installation is going well. However, I’ve ran into a problem. I tapped the DRL wires from the driver headlight into the running lights as instructed, and the DRL strips and running lights function as they should when I switch on the parking lights, but both go out after a few seconds when I switch on the headlights. Here’s how I did it:



Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? The halogen headlight bulb functions correctly when I turn on the headlights, but I’m stumped as to why the DRL and running lights would quit working. Any help would be appreciated.
