Default Turn indicator switch spare part

Hey guys,
a short introduction since I'm new here: I'm in my mid 30's, I live in Germany and bought my (imported) Mustang GT in 2016. Though I have it for more than 7 years, it's still one of my dream cars .

But now I have a problem I'm not able solve so far:
It's not possible to turn of the windshield wipers with my turning indicator switch anymore. If I turn it off, it's still wiping at the lowest speed. Sometimes it even randomly sprays water.
The intermediate solution is that I bridged the fuse for the wipers with a switch I mounted below the steering wheel.

But I want to finally repair it.
So far I was always able to find the needed spare parts, but this turn indicator switch seems to be sold out all over the world.

Part number:
AR3Z13K359AA

Does anybody have an Idea where to get this part? No matter is new or used. I will of course pay for any additional efforts required to ship to Germany.

Thank you very much in advance!

That's my first choice when I need spare parts. I bought there 15 to 20 times in the past.
But this turn signal switch is sold out at every official shop I have found. Maybe 50 different shops.
I've heard that this part has been officially discontinued...

So I guess I need a used one from a platform for used parts or something like that.

This exact thing happened to me roughly two years ago. The windshield wipers/sprayers had a mind of their own.
The root cause was that the car had sat outside for some rain, and the cavity underneath the cowl where the windshield wiper motor sits got full of water. It was so full that the wiper motor (and electrical connector, and on-board circuit board) was submerged. Water had actually gotten inside the electrical box.

We took it apart, sprayed WD40 on the electrical components, dried everything out, threw some dielectric grease on the connector, and re-installed, hoping for the best. In the meantime I ordered a new motor, figuring the old one was on borrowed time.

Well...nearly two years later...it still has the original wiper motor. No more paranormal activity. I've also been out in some heavy rain since, expecting it to act up, but so far so good. I still have the spare...for good luck

So long story short: before replacing a bunch of stuff (or waiting forever to even get the parts), you might want to take a look at that wiper motor and see if it has water damage, corrosion, etc.

By the way, there is a rubber grommet/plug at the bottom of that cavity (there is one on the other side, where the cabin air filter is). It has a tendency of getting clogged up with debris, and the water can't escape. I removed both of them. I'm sure they're there to prevent mice from getting in there, but these cars have enough water problems that I prefer a nice big drain hole over a waterlogged car.

Hi Hyproman,
that actually sound extremely promising, thank you so much!
If I remember correctly the issue occured first time after heavy rain. First time the wiper just wiped one or two times. Then nothing for months. Then it started again and never stopped until today.
I will talk about that with my workshop guys.

And of course I will tell you here if we were successful .

Thanks again!

Update:
The mechanic confimed what the cavity was under water. There was still water in it because the drain was clogged.

They dried everything but so far the problem still exists.

Also the figured out that the wiper switch is permanently sending a signal. This may be normal, maybe not. Does anybody have an idea if this means that the wiper switch is defective?

Thank and best regards.

That actually was the solution, by the way! Thank you again, that saved me a lot of time and money.
