Default Turn Signal Switch

Hey, my turn signals quit working on my 92 LX vert. My mechanic wanted $300 for a new switch, but I decided I'd just buy a used one for cheaper. I bought one from a 90 LX, and he said he isn't the right part. Does anyone know if they made a different turn signal switch for convertibles? Or is someone wrong (either the guy who sold it to me, or my mechanic)?

Thanks

The switch in your car should have a part number. Compare it.
Does your wipers work?
What about the dim/brights of your headlights?
What about the water spray for the windshield?

That one switch does it all.

Have you checked your fuses?

The wipers, brights, spray, etc all works, it's just the signals. I haven't checked the fuses, but I'll try that this afternoon. Thanks.
