Exce job looks nice.

I can't thank you enough for the installation info I am considering this as my next mod I am going back and forth between the dash pod and the pillar right now.

I am still working on an electronic circuit to drive it
When you figure it out if you could e-mail me I would be thankful.

Great Post!

Thanks

And someone else asked about sensor placement. Senders for things like oil pressure and temperature are gauge specific. In other words you must use the sender that is designed specifically for the gauge you are using. So...
For the oil pressure sender I removed the stock sender and installed a brass "T" fitting into the block. This is located right behind the oil filter on the driver's side of the block. Then I installed the factory oil sender in one side of the "T" and the sender for the Autometer gauge in the other side of the "T". I also had to use a 45 degree elbow to get clearence.
Thanks, 281GT. This is exactly the info I was looking for.

Thanks for that information about the limited functionality of the gauges, that's very good to know. What I'd like to do is find some sending units that can be connected to the stock gauges and keep them in place but make them functional.

I also like that A-Pillar gauge mount. It seems I can never get enough gauges! I like to keep them all looking the same though. -Joe
