I have the premium edition 2006 V6 and I want to get rid of the that ugly pony emblem and replace it with something nice and in torch red to mach the car.

1st, does anyone know how they are attached?

2nd, any suggestions on a replacement emblem?

I have a 2005 Mustang V6 Premium and I was wondering about the same thing about the dealers emblem that they stick on the trunk. The pony I like. I read a few things on here. But afraid to touch it myself. The pony emblem on the grill is probably a strong adhesive, unless its through the grill and attached. I never looked at it.

My dealer slaps on a License plate frame, and a sticker on the trunk lid. The sticker came off 1 hour after taking delivery, the frame was about 10 minutes =)

I made the dealer remove the dealer decal himself before I took the car off the lot, then I got them to pay to have the 2 holes filled in where they drilled to put another dealer tag. I had asked them NOT to put anything on when I ordered it. I don't feel like being their billboard.

I wouldn't remove the pony though. Removing a pony from a Mustang is like taking stars off the flag. The pony is part of the legacy. It is a "ponycar" after all.

are you talking about the fake gas cap decklid emblem, if so I will trade you for my 05 GT emblem. they are attached with double sided tape. take a plastic scrapper and wedge it in the side and slowing apply pressure. the plastic scrapper will began separating the emblem from the car. thats how I took other emblems off in the past.

No, the emblems I am referring to are the emblems on the front fenders. If it were a GT it would say GT, but instead I have this pony emblem and I prefer a clean body. I would have taken the 40th badges off my 04, but they drilled holes in the fender back then. This time I believe it is glued on.

As far as the phony gas cap emblem I don't mind that. It is the Fender emblems I have an issue with.

correct me if i am wrong-- i know the GT emblems r not on by tape- there is a hole in the fender if u should remove it.
