Default Stock Muffler Dimensions.....

I just got off the phone with a muffler store trying to order some upgraded muffler's for my gt. They wanted to know the length of just the muffler without the inlet and outlet pipe. Also are the inlet and outlet pipes on the muffler diagonal or just straight across? I'm stuck inside at work or I'd go out and measure it myself. Can anyone help?

Thanks alot

WHat....

Did you call "Bobs Muffler and Fish Bait Shop" ???

Most real muffler shops have books that give them all the diminsions.

Totally wierd the guys wanted you to measure your stuff!

there is also this new thing called "computers" that I hear some of the REAL shops are using these days.

I would not be buying anything from a guy who didn't know what size mufflers fit the car. Magnaflow, bassani, SLP, flowmaster and any other major manufacturer I can think of make a muffler specifically for '05/'06 GT and sixxers. All the shop has to do is look up the part number.......or you could do it yourself at any of their sites.

Sorry if we were not much help, but it's raining out and I don't feel like crawling under my car to measure.[&:]

call flowmaster. by the time you pay this guy for the mufflers and install you could buy a set of flowmasters and install yourself. i know from experience my dad does a lot of custom exhaust systems and they are always more than the off the shelf stuff.

Professor Wizard: Actually it was Uncle Bob's Muffler, Fish Bait, Love shop and All Night Gasket Boutique. I think they sell horse collars and 8-track tapes too.
