Cut mine off with a hacksaw and rounded off the top on the grinder, touched up with some semi gloss black and it works/looks fine. Reception doesn't appear to suffer any, but I use the MP3 player feature 95% of the time anyway.

Sorry for the stupid question, but do all 2006 Mustangs come with the antenna on the right fender? I don't remember seeing it when I test drove the GT two weeks ago and I don't see it on any of the photos in the brochure I got from my salesman! I really don't like it, if my GT comes with it I'll probably end up removing it, maybe going with something like this:
