Take it back to them.
Don't rev the motor too high, too much oil can blow a head gasket.Don't try to drain it yourself, you'll just end up with a mess.

Drain some out. just get under it and let some out the oil pan plug. clean it up good and your on your way. Go ahead and wipe down the hoses under the oil filter while your down there cause it sounds like the boy that did your change left a mess down there and oil soaked hoses are bad.

Too much oil usually ends up getting foamy because the crankshaft hitting will splash it all up. I don't know if 1/2 quart will bring it up that far but still drain some out.

Last time I went to Jiffy Lube the retards there scratched my car! This fat guy leaned all over my car with a buttoned shirt on! I went back and chewed out the manager. He told me that his guy did not do it and it must have happend in the carwash. I call the guy every name in book and had to hold back from scoking him in the face. Moral of the story: AVOID JIFFY LUBE or any kind of quick lube! Do it yourself or be sorry!

The 1st time i changed my oil I didnt measure the EXACT amount it took. I just filled until it reached the top of the hatch marks. After reading some other threads and users saying it takes 6.5 quarts to fill from empty with new filter I was sure to pay attention this time. Filled quart by quart vs last time used our bulk 5-20 oil. And at 6 quarts it was a hair above the min level. I added another 1/2 quart and that filled it to the top of the fill mark. Perect, 6.5 quarts.

And like Rider said about them hoses. Stoopid thing runs right under filter. On the 2nd oil change I used a 8"x4" piece of cardboard to redirect it.

I changed my own at 1500 miles and put AMSoil in it.. so now it doesnt need an oil change till about 20,000. I checked it last week and with 12000 miles on it the oil is still at the line and still looks golden-ish.
