You know what I didnt check... I was just so happy that the lady was talking to me that I didnt check... haha

But I was splicing in the wire at the PCM and I had like a spasm and i almost cut the blue/green wire in half! That would have been horrible...

We have the Eclipse AVN30D And we love it. Great features and sound. Nice touch screen and it flat out looks great in the car.

Default New Pioneer Avic-Z1

I read a review about this unit in the Feb. issue of Mustang Enthusiast and it seems to have all the major features. The unit has a 30G HD to store map and navi data and music. It features smart routing, text to speech, voice recognition and can use xm Navtraffice service. It has bluetooth cell phone interface, xm, sirius options as well as Ipod option. Here is the link to Pioneer's press release with full details. It is due out the second quarter of 2006.

This has everything I have been looking for so I think I will wait to see it this spring. It has a MSRP of $2200 but I bet street price will be $1999.00.

Have you guys in the audio/video shops seen any information on this unit??
Thanks
Greg

Not to bring up an old subject but I've been searching all night and can't find the answer. I'm installing the AVIC D1 and I purchased Metra kit 99-5807 double din kit. It is specific to 2005 Fords with double DIN. But the D1 cage is about a half inch bigger than the opening??? Is there some other kit that is big enough to house the D1 or do I just need to get the dremel out?

a lot of places do custom molding to fit it to your car, you can also look into that
