Bretstang: With all the weekend's silliness I forgot to congratulate you on the new car. Enjoy it. I currently only have an old 5.0 LX ragtop, and am on this board because I am considering replacing it with an '06. I'm also considering a 'vette (if some financial issues resolve themselves, but really prefer a 4 seater (no am not about to compare a 'vette to a mustang; they are different animals)).

This morning it was fifty degrees so I took off the car cover and went to work in the Mustang. First time in six weeks. I was instantly reminded why I have had 5 mustangs already, and it seems clear that #6 is a certainty soon. Probably be very similar to yours. Corvette schmorvette. I'll get a mustang, ride with the kids in the back, and sit with an extra $30K for the kids college tuition. If I feel the need for more speed I'll take $5K of it out for a blower.

Enjoy your car.

28hopup: Can you tell me what chrome bullits those are? I'm considering FordRacing 17x8 as they have stock/correct backspacing. ty, Jim

Hey Jim,

I opted for the polished Bullits instead of the chrome ones. I saw them in the Mustang brochure and said to myself "hey, those look like the old Cragar SS mag wheels" (no, I don't talk to myself all that often). The polished ones are not as bright as the chrome wheels, and have more of a nostalgic, patina'd look to them in my opinion. My dealer was unsuccessful in getting them for me, so I got them through Sports Car Tire in Wilmington, DE. These are the Ford wheels (17"x8" I believe) with the Mustang centers. Love 'em on the new style Stangs.
