I would like to put the '06 pony package grill with the fog lights on my '05 V-6. I don't know how much trouble that would be. I don't want to get into major re-wiring or anything. Does anyone know anything about this or have any advice for me?? I really like the look of the grill!

The wiring wasn't a big deal, but getting the grille into the opening is a hassle because the fascia on the V6 and GT are slightly different. Some people have just replaced the entire fascia with a GT fascia.


EDIT- oops, I should have read your post closer, I thought you were asking about the GT grille. The Pony Package grille is a direct swap. You'll have to use an aftermarket wiring harness to hook it up, but that's pretty easy to do.

My local Ford dealer in NC sells the factory GT type front grille for $899, parts and labor to install. to include wiring up the fog light switch on the front dash. If anyone knows of a less expenseive route, please let me know.

Whoa there partner! It's a snap to swap out. Look up Charlie at West Coast Performance Parts for his "pony package" grille kit $389. It has the grille, fogs, new generation wiring harness with smart box, and the GT fog/headlight switch. I used his kit and it was straight forward. He's a little hard to get a hold of, but he treated me fairly, and answered install questions. Good luck on the swap out, you'll like it!
