The paint or whatever on my shaker 500 buttons are chipping the (*&^(*@&# off!!! Has this happened to anyone else? Will my warranty cover a replacement? At least replace the damn buttons.

hasn't happened to me yet - but i imagine it probably will. i love fords, and mustangs especially, but the interior materials they use have never really been that great. on my 98 v6 there was a little "ledge" right under the volume control. looked like it was just black plastic with some sort of rubberized coat on top of it. that stuff started wearing off (from changing volume so much i guess) within the first year i had it. i never did bother to get it fixed...but it pissed me off every time i looked at it. haha

i'd ask the dealership if that's covered though. seems like it should be since it's such a new car. at least you can take it in and complain to them...never know what they'll do to make you happy.

Don't feel so bad...on my '05 Escalade the same thing happened...the fascia on the radio control ***** peeled off almost completely. I'd pursue replacement ***** through your dealer under the warranty.

they should replace those under warranty. I haven't had any signs of that in mine yet.(knock on wood)

That would drive me crazy, definatly have to go to the dealer. I just got hit by a shopping cart 2 days ago put a dent above the drivers side red marker, it was small but because I have to look at it I put it in the shop this morning $390 to fix due to there being a crease in the dent. Good luck getting those buttons fixed.

that sucks, you could color it with a black perminant marker to make it look a little better until you get it replaced

yep...happened to mine too...actually there's hardly one button on the radio that's not messed up already...VERY noticeable at night with the buttons lit up, not very noticeable during the day.

I'll be taking it to the local Ford dealer to see what I can get out of them...
