I am thinking of adding a few of the body mods to my car, like hood scoops, window louvers and fender scoops....and i know they attach with 3M tape and adhesive promoter. To my knowledge, adhesive promoter is incredibly corrosive, and im almost certain it must permanently damage the paint job on the car if i apply it. My question is for anyone who has added these type of products to thier car. Does it ruin the paint? Can the parts be applied without the promoter and just the tape and be affective? Also are these even good things to add for a fairly decent look for little effort, and little money? Honest opinions are appreciated, as usual. Thanks!
