I installed the Steeda CAI and gave my 2005 GT w/automatic the basic tune...
No problems to speak of. The car great on 87 octane but wanted a little more out of the car so I went to the 91 octane tune. Could not honestly feel any difference. Tried to bump the timing too but maybe my car is running as well as it can right now...
When gas got pricey, ran 87 octane with a 91 octane tune, no problems and only a slight ping at WOT...
Steeda Diablo does not come with a 93 octane tune so I called Steeda and they told me the difference between the 91 and 93 octane tune is timing... Bumped the timing, filled with 93 octane Shell gas, no big difference...
Running a 91 octane tune now around Chicago on 87 octane gas. No problems, car runs strong but I'm bringing out the "BIG GUNS' this spring and ordered a Saleen Supercharger w/39# injectors...
When I get this installed (sometime after the winter), I hope to generate some respectable numbers from this mod...
Never the less -- car runs great, no engine checks lights, no starting problems but no impressive sit of the pants feel either...
