Flames out the pipe

RE: Flames out the pipe
That is an old school hot rodder trick. Mostly used on lead sleds from the 50's. What ya did was drill a hole in the exhaust tip about 4 inches back for a spark plug and an inch behind that for a propane jet. You then set up a coil for the plug and a switch that would activate the coil and a servo for the propane. I doubt you could do it to a stang because of the muffler location. Now days that would look like you were adding fried rice to you're stang.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

I remember those things at car shows when I was a kid. One guy had sparkplugs in the the exaust pipe and would keep the choke on the carb creating a lot of unburned gas to come out of the pipes to be ignited. It took a lot of work to get a flame out and the car was not being driven. I have never seen a propane/gas injected setup.
