Default Cold Start Question?

Does anyone else's car seem to idle very high on a cold start. Cold meaning it's been sitting for 5+ hours. When I start my car, it jumps to about 2K rpm's then over the next 15-20 seconds it drops to about 1100 rpm's. It will then continue to operate at that point untill the engin reaches full operating temp.

I don't know if my mods may be a factor in this, but I don't remember my car doing this untill I switched from the diablo to the SCT tuner.

Any input would help.

this is very normal...happens to me pretty much every morning because i park outside and start driving at 6:30am

you also may see the CEL blink because of misfires if you push your car

When I start my car its around 1100 and between 30 seconds and 1 minute or so it drops down around 750 or so on warmer days. When its cold in the morning i start it and go back into the house, so I really dont sit there and watch it,but when I come back out the car is warmed up.
