Default Window Question

Don't know if anyone has had this problem, but I tinted my windows about 2-3 weeks ago and I have noticed some fine scratches in the tint from rolling my windows up/down. I know I had a quality tint job so it's not a cheap tint. I have heard that apparently I am not the only one who has had this same problem. Anyone else experienced this? If so, how can I fix it so it doesn't get worse?

Default RE: Window Question

I read about this on a forum that the Mustang doesn't have the soft felt strip between the door and the glass. What it does have is a hard plastic strip. I also heard that some window tint companies can replace the hard plastic strip with a felt one. I read about this after I had my windows tinted. I will call my tint company and ask them, I will let you know what they say. I don't roll my windows down that much so it hasn't been a problem for me Yet !!!

Is your car still under warranty?? I had the same problem, took it in and they fixed it. Now I just have to get my windows re-tinted. FYI...it WILL get worse. Mine were so bad that they would make this screeching noise when I put them up or down.

yes, it's under warranty still. It's brand new. I have to take it in for service on Thurs. b/c the switch that controls the fan speed for the ac/ heater only works on 1 and not on 2, 3, or 4. I'll have them take a look at the windows and see if they can do anything.
