I payed 3 grand under sticker. (I live in south carolina, but the only place I could find a black V6 with red leather and and auto was Florida) So, I bought my car in Naples Florida and drove 732 miles home for this car!

After getting an X-plan pin#, i found out the dealer i ordered my GT through would not accept the plan, so i got my deposit back called a few other dealers and found "PORTSMOUTH NH FORD" was doing $1,000 over invoice even on custom orders! After several calls to other dealers, i could not find one that would honor the X-plan due to allocation issues. So if anyone is in the New England area and looking to buy a mustang, this dealer is highly recommended. They actually had about 6 GT's on the lot! Also have a high allocation, so the ordered vehicles should come in a little quicker. Sticker was $34,600 paid $32,960. The salesman gave me a full computer printout of the order confirmation with all the info to track the build process, and informed me he will notify me when the car gets a VIN, without me even asking. Very happy so far!

I went to 2 dealerships with a lot of mustangs on their lots selling at msrp. They both said the price of the v6's were negotiable but the GT's weren't. After getting a final price on the GT I wanted I bargained it down about $400 to a selling price of $30,000 flat.

1. 5-speed.
2. Tungsten Gray Metallic exterior
3. Dark charcoal leather interior
4. 18" polished aluminum wheels

Price - $25,000 even.
Two dealers in my area would match this price.

Pretty good deal for Arizona it seems as most dealers wanted sticker price plus a Dealer Markup for cars with the 18in rims, "W" tires and the Red Leather Interior...

I had to do a lot of wheelin' & dealin' to get it at that price but in the end, two dealers fought it out between themselves and I got the car with the exact color and spec I wanted and the price I felt was fair.

Never accept anything a dealer tells you in terms of price.. as both dealers initially told me it was sticker price with dealer markup or no deal....

i'd like to get more input on this. I'm thinking about a v6 vert. The dealer emailed saying they have 3K factory incentive on the 05 and i'm wondering how much more i could get them to come down.

sticker was 37,889 and I spent, 32950 I did pretty good I think!

Got about 2 grand off the sticker price.

That was with major haggling, and me leaving the dealer. My mom knew one of the salesmen so when we left he called my mom begging us to come back and work somethin out. At first the guy came out and was like best i can do is 100 bucks off. I told him you cant even take your family out to dinner for that and he'd have to do a lil better. Overall i'm happy with the deal i got.
