Positives:
Handles better stock vs stock
interior quality better
ride quality is better (even after having lowered the new 2010)
paint is much better. Not sure about yours but the front end on the 2005 just seemed to chip way too easy and have wear at the edges
tranny is MUCH better, this thing shifts so much better
the car is super quiet compared to the old car

that's just my first impressions after 2k miles
Great summary ... here are a couple of reviewers in a video discussing the differences: http://tinyurl.com/kkf99k

The car is refined in all the right places, but still has a rough / raw side to it when you put the hammer down. Wife calls it "James Bond in a tux."

Wow, sounds like they did an excellent job with the 2010 model!!!
Yeah, the front end of my 2005 does chip up very easily....(a lot of touch up paint)
Thanks for your feedback!

I would disagree that there are no benefits to bigger wheels, larger diameter wheels will have a shorter tires with less sidewall flex, that improves handling performance. Also as was previously stated you can get bigger wheels and take no weight penalty by choosing a lighter material.

Unless you are Michael Schumacher driving a two mile track, you aren't going to see any performance gains. Even then it would be minuscule at best.

I dont know about time gains for sure - however from a seat of the pants feel - shorter sidewall tires do flex less and feel better. going from my 17's to my 19's i felt a big difference.

That sir, is opinion as far as the last part of your statement.
Furthermore, in my opinion, it also depends on HOW big you go.

I feel that 19 is O.K. but is as large as you can go and have the car still look good.

Yes, that is my personal opinion. I like how larger wheels fill out the wheel wells. In your statement "not going over 19" is your opinion. We are all entitled to our own opinions.
