I dunno man. I've used those and PIAA, both were improvements by far over stock for sure.
But as far as the Mustang goes, after checking prices, I think you guys are 100% on with the HID conversion. I thought kits ran like 600-700 bucks. I'm pleasantly surprised and going that route for sure.

I drove out at night in the rain for the fist time last night in my '10..I swear I could have easily drove right off the damn road. Couldn't see a damn thing, no lines, curbs, nothing. Definitely upgrading to the silverstars as soon as I get it back from the garage. Aftermarket fogs as well.

They seem ok for just night driving, but with the rain, it was horrible. It's possible they could come down a bit though, still upgrading but, yeah I'll have to check. Its in the shop getting exhaust and wheels till late tomorrow. And no fogs on her yet.

I'd be interested to know how also. I saw a thread on here that gave detailed instructions but can't find it now. I know there are screws that you turn either clockwise or counter-clockwise, but some input from someone who's done it would be great.
Even though my car has the Eibach lowering springs on it, I still get flashed all the time because these f-ing retards think my brights are on. Seriously, they're not that bright, but I'd like to aim them down a bit so I can make sure they're not in people's faces as much.

Thumbs up for HIDs
I was skeptical at how much improvement HIDs would make to my '05 GT and '07 GT500.
Over the years I've done plenty of mods on quite a few cars, but this turned out to be a no brainer. I'm converting all my vehicles.
Depending on color temperature that you choose (I wouldn't go above 8000k, and 6000k gives a beautiful white light with maximum light intensity) you can expect 2.5-3 times the light output compared to stock halogens. The reflectors on the GT500 are better than the GT, and it looks like daylight in front of my car now!
Installation on the first car took 45 minutes (I'm a bit picky about hiding the wire harnesses and making it look like a professional install). The second one took <30 minutes. It's very easy.
For my money, this is one of the absolute best safety improvements you can make to your car, and it looks great! Make sure you check the aim on your headlights so you don't blind anybody.
I bought from IntenseHID.com. I had mixed results with their ballasts - I've gone through 4 so far on 2 cars. They're great about replacing the dead ones, but it's still a hassle.
You should be able to get a good HID kit for <$150.

Technically 4300k Has the best output and that is why almost all automotive companies use 4300k in their stock HIDS. But on the retrofit kits 5000k Is pure white and 6000k adds some blue, anything above 6000k is a waste and starts to look like rice. I always get 4300k as im not going for looks im going for lighting performance. But some may want a little of both.
