Default Interior/Ambient Light Question

I think these look cool, but has anyone seen them in action?

http://www.partscheap.com/2010_Ford_...700-aa-m10.htm

How bright are they? Are they too bright to drive with at night? Is there an alternative aftermarket lighting product that does the same thing, only better and cheaper?

My new 5.0 is pretty sparse and I need to snazz it up a bit...

I dont think its as bright as the picture makes it out to be. Im pretty sure that is just the ambient lighting that would come in a premium package.

Yeah, I have no doubt that they use some long exposure on the photos or some similar trickery. Buyer comments are a mixed bag, but I would trust the opinion of fellow Mustang owners!

i have the ambient lighting in my stang and its not quite as bright as the picture, if your worried about brightness you can adjust it with the wheel next to your light switch, on the 2010 atleast.

I called my dealer's parts department and they were clueless. So I'm going to try some non-Ford lights from unnamed internet dealers. I'll install temporarily and see how they actually work, then report back on my results in a week or two, hopefully.
