The benefit is balance and stability, grip too.....Plus the weight difference is less than 2lbs between the 18x9 and 18x10 FR wheels last I checked.....
Let's say its 2 lbs even:Going by the rule that per every additional 10lbs of rotating mass equals 100 lbs of dead weight.... that would mean that you're only adding the equivalent of 40lbs of dead weight to the car. Most people on a daily driver won't notice this difference.....not to mention that the spare tire and backseat weigh considerably more than 40lbs when combined (two very easy things to remove for a track day).

Just my .02

The benefits far outweigh any negatives imo.
SOOOO..are you actually going to road race? if not then the whole 2nd part of the reply wasnt even needed.

Yes, I am lol

I know half of the people who post just daily his or her car with no intent on track usage.

Me, on the other hand.....I have actually done HPDE events at NSS (Nashville SuperSpeedway) and have done so for the last 4 years

I'm working on getting my car ready for Road Atlanta next season

I actually just ordered my set lol 18x10's all around with 275 rubber up front 285 rubber out back haha
January I'll get my D-specs ordered as well as various other Maximum Motorsports Suspension and Braking components ;P

wilkinda had the 19" version from the gt500 coupe on his GB stang and the wheels look great. I had often thought if i could find them in black i would be hard pressed to not buy them. i suspect the dark argent finish will look sort of like the finish on the 11 gt500 svt performance pack wheels. it isn't exactly a black, but it looks really good.

Yes this wheel is curbed all to hell, and no i didn't do it lol

yeap nice wheels for sure, I am really liking these dark ardent wheels though. I too wish I could see them on a car other than that chop on blue oval.

Actually Shane, your current wheels look awesome.
The whole car does but I always had a thing for the CS 40s.

I just installed a set on my car, but I assume you are looking for some pics on the '10 plus body style. If not, I could post up a couple from another forum that helped me make the swap.

But you definitely can't beat the price as I even plan to pick up an extra set in the spring just for my DRs as it is cheaper than getting a set of 15s.
