Now in my opinion, here is a perfect example of knowing when choices made to create a certain look are appropriate (or not) for the color and theme of the car. The old setup might have looked great on say a charcoal gray, but on the white, it just wasn't working. You also did what some often forget; addition through subtraction. The removal of the louvers fall in this category for you. Your change resulted in a 10x improvement on the overall look.
