I soldered all of the connections like this, except I used heat shrink tubing, no tape: http://www.mmxpress.com/technical/connections.htm

20 years from now no one will be poking around looking for a bad connection.

The Starkey kit comes with a new switch that has an automatic headlight position, and when you pull out the switch the fog lights come on. It's very slick and looks factory.

This is an easy mod, install it right and you'll never worry about it causing a problem.

Am very happy with kit , despite the price. The auto light switch is the killer feature in my mind

Hay guys you can get all the parts to make this kit up foor about 160.00 the wire is just #14 wire and a 20 amp relay the lights you can get on ebay for about 60.00 the bezels you can get from ford for 14.00 each. The light switch is 34.00 dollors from ford . The key to making it work is where to connect the fog light control power at in the smart box out under the hood area. If someone has a set of instructions from a Starkey kit then it tells where to connect them and you don't have to pay 370.00 for a kit.

Default heat shrink tubing

The application of heat shrink tubing will help ensure that you're properly protecting whatever components you are putting together and that you are well prepared in harnessing those same components from harm.
