Default Looking into some exterior changes.

Well, due to the accident the other week (see my post in the GT 5.0 section titled "Grown Man Crying Inside") the insurance company is basically buying me all new sheet metal from the fire wall forward.

Before we all get started on the 'Dude get THIS hood and THAT front bumper cover" stuff, I have to tell y'all that I am already sold on getting the "Elenore Style Grill" moving the fogs to the center.

BIG question is, how is the quality of the aftermarket offerings? A local shop that I trust is doing the work and I just want to make sure that I'm not going to have any issues down the road. I was leaning more toward just a stock front bumper cover, CS lower facia and Boss splitter, but I am open to suggestions.

Also, since the hood is getting replaced, what out there is as good/better than the stock aluminum hood? I LOVE the stocker, but if I can get something a little better and more performance oriented for about the same $, I'm willing to consider it.

Thanks

I have the 3D Carbon Eleanor grill. It fit perfectly, no install issues at all. Am not sure if they make one for your year.

They do. But.....Since posting this, I was browsing the interwebs and found THIS!

Ohh my that is SEX! And at $3200, it ain't a bad price either. It's just about everything I need. Only parts the shop would have to source are the fenders. (at least body-wise) There are a LOT of other parts that will need replaced, starting with the entire suspension on the Pass Side. I really need to give the shop a call tomorrow or go by there on my lunch and talk to 'em.

Wait, you're talking about $3200 before paint and labor??? That's insane! haha. Are you sure you have the money for it or how much out of pocket?

Stage 3 motorsports ALWAYS has the most expensive prices. Shop around, you'll save at least a grand!

That is more than the hood so would account for the price. It is a GT500 conversion for the front end:

This kit includes:

BMC GT500 "Black Mamba" Fiberglass Hood w/ Vent Inserts
BMC GT500 Front Fascia
BMC GT500 Upper / Lower Grilles
BMC GT500 Isolator
BMC GT500 Front Splitter

The insurance company I'd sending me a check for $11027. I've been looking into the market prices from Ford, and 3000 is about what a hood, facia, fenders, etc would run w/ out paint.
