According to my shipping records not only on paper but also in my email and on the AM website, i ordered and they shipped the Trufiber Venom Hood for the 2010-2012 Mustang GT/V6. the same hood under the 2005-2009 section has an entirely different name called the Trufiber GTS-4 hood.

Well then this is a no-brainer. AM sent you the wrong hood so its on them and they should replace it. AM has a rep on this site that helps out with problems like this. You should contact him for help. "You" order the right hood, your paperwork lists it as the right hood, your online order info list's it as the right hood, there for who ever at AM packed your hood packed the "wrong one" and sent it to your body shop who did not have your car there when they got it and "assumed" it to be the correct hood as "listed" on the shipping paperwork. AM's fault, this type of thing happens from time to time when workers are trying to get everything shipped out right away and skip the step of checking to make sure that the hood matchs the paperwork before shipping it.

Squeeky wheel man. Squeek louder Tuesday...

One thing if this was a bad order on your part, but as it is not, this needs to be on them. With all the business they get from this and other related mustang forums I seriously doubt once you speak with someone at the management level that this will be a problem.

I hate to rag on AM, but they do not have a good shipping history.
Many members on this forum either receive the wrong part or damaged parts from them all the time.

Normally they are pretty good about fixing issues like this, but they really need to step up their game and keep stuff like this from happening all the time.

Damn that sucks. I've had no issues with AM thus far and I'm sure if you contact one of the reps, this issue could be solved. Good Luck ;0)

AM has a good reputation. If they still refuse to fix it, I suggest making a more visible (read: inflammatory) thread in the general 2005+ section where A LOT more people read than just this Appearance section, and on other forums.

If you're clearly not in the wrong, the negative feedback and the attention it gets will send ripples and AM will do what it can to basically make you happy so you will stop posting about it.

Last resort... BBB.

^what he said,
you ordered a 2010+ hood and they shipped you a 05-09 hood and you can prove it with the invoice, 90% on them 10% on the shop for not test fitting.
usually they're pretty good bout fixing stuff tho from what i kno they do get stuff mixed up all the time.
I ordered my 3rd brake light "mustang" decal cutout and they sent me a pink pony tshirt... called em up and they sent out a replacement right away lolz
