Chris really helped me about a month back with a defective coolant tank from Moroso, AM has had my business for quite some time and will continue to have it.

Good suggestion Lopez. Haha.
Well that suggestion went out the window! LOL

@Chris and AM great job and service. That's why 95% of my mods come from them...!!!

AM is taking a big loss here with that hood, but much respect to them for going above and waaaaaay beyond to keep a customer satisfied. If I were OP, I'd sell that 05-09 hood at just shipping cost to one of the members on here just to "give back" to the Mustang community. Like someone previously stated, why would a store take back a shirt that you already ruined if it were mislabeled.

i plan on trading it to another mustang owner who is willing to trade it for some snap-on tools. I'm doing it this way because im just now getting into working on cars and I desparately need tools and this is the only way this guy can kinda hide his money from his wife(with his snap-on account) so we both will be satisfied.. him with a new hood and me with new tools.

Sorry for your pain of having to go through such an ordeal with the wrong hood and all

I have been in industrial maint for like 20 years,I too started off with snap on but quickly learned that wasn't realistic.Their stuff is great but the cost is ridiculous.Especially since you are just now getting into working on cars and desparately needing tools, don't get sucked into the snap on name.
If i had to replace my box of tools with snap on,It would cost me well over $30,000 dollars.I buy mainly craftsman. They also have a lifetime guarantee.I have had ratchets for 5-6 years suddenly break, gear wears out and sears replaces it with a brand new one for free.
I would of tried selling the hood, taking the money and bought some craftsman tools. For a couple hundred bucks you could gotten twice as many tools as you got.I would of then taken the rest of that more than generous windfall you got from AM because they made a mistake and bought some more mods from AM to show my appreciation for going the extra mile.

I want to see a no-drill center-dash 3-gauge pod for 2010+ cars. No, the Boss pod is not what I want. No, I'm not really interested in A-pillar pods.

I agree!!! Helluva lot easier to find a sears and replace a tool then getting a snap on replacement on the weekend! ;-) and they're guaranteed for life like the pricier stuff!

Well,

I'm not able to edit my post, so here we go, sorry for double post.

Lets say you pick up a brand new Mustang, and you're one of those people who just doesn't know much about cars, but you happen to order a new hood because you like the looks of it....

Now, since you don't know much about cars, you take it to a shop "Hey, I bought a new hood specifically for my car, I need it painted."
They're in the business to make money, "sure, we'll paint it"

Could've happened to anyone, not everyone is knowledgeable when it comes to these things. We put our trust in companies like American Muscle to ship us the CORRECT item that suits our car appropriately.
They dropped the ball, but it is a good thing they are willing to fix it. I'm starting to see more and more complaints around and about these forums from them. This is quite disappointing...and the only things that seem to fix it is a Forum post nowadays...not too sure what to make of that.

OP, glad it worked out for you. Been quite a headache, I assume.
